Attention OG MR members...
Let's have a summer summer time (singing old school will smith style) get together.
I don't really give a shit where... someplace that can accomodate everyone would be best. So let's start posting some ideas.
I'll offer my place first I suppose. I have a pretty decent size crib (roughly 4300 sq/ft if the count the basement), wireless everywhere in my place, 3 PC's capable of playing ffxi on (two desktop 1 laptop) also network cables in every room for wired junkies. As far as extra shit to do... though I know most of you would rather just play, which is why I listed all that shit.... there's bars around here (ice cream parlors for you ceb) if it's nice out, we can head out on the lake, rent / borrow some waverunners, depending how many we need.
Sleeping arrangements here... well, let's do this list type:
spare bed: 1
futon: 1
couch: 1
inflateable bed: 1
spare bed in basement: 2 if you want to get friendly (it's a queen)
Floor: infinite
I can sleep 6 totally comfortable, that's without anyone bringing anything. You could easily layout 20 people on the floor between my living room and den (both with thick ass carpet, it's not half bad... crashed on the floor a few times after work).
I could buy more inflateables if people wanted them, they're cheap and nice to have around anyway.
If we did get together here.... I can give some distance estimates or you could map quest : Rochester Hills, MI 48309
Driving distance to:
Chicago, IL: 5 hours
Toledo, OH: 1 hour 30 min
Cincinnati, OH: 5 hours
Louisville, KY: 6 hours 30 min
New York, NY: 10 hours 30 min
Mapquest everything else, or check ticket prices. Nearest major airport to me is Detroit Metro, roughly 40 min away.
